    Qhost.apd

Every time I log onto my computer, McAfee VirusScan tells me I have a trojan -- qhost.apd. It automatically cleans and removes it, but every time I log on for a new session, the same thing happens. Any ideas on how to remove it for good? Thank you.

    Hello, this is Arne,

for two days now I have exactly the same problem as described above. Wonder, what I can do. Had you meanwhile received any comments how to solve this problem?

TrojanHunter is available for free. I installed and ran it. Not sure if that is what solved the issue, though. In any event, its now gone.

The comments I received were: turn Windows system restore off, then scan and get rid of the virus/worm/trojan, then turn system restore on again.

    Good luck.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
Flushing the contents of system restore is most likely to be what removed it.
