Bloodhound HybridCOM
Hi guys!
Finally updated Norton and scanned my system. Two viruses (?) were detected and I asked Norton to quarantine them since it seemed that it could neither fix them or delete them. The virus (?) is Bloodhound HybridCOM, found in 10DRwin.exe and 11DRwin.exe. Ever heard of it? Can it eventually damage my system?
Here's my Hijackthis file, for your perusal. As usual, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Bloodhound is Nortons Heurestics scanner. Heurestics is a way of detecting viruses that antivirus companies are not yet aware of. It uses a scanning technique to monitor major changes in files and potentially malicious files.
Could you please go to this page. Click the Browse button and locate and select one of the files Norton detected. The click Submit. The file will be scanned by 10 different antivirus programs and the results posted on the page. Post the results back here. They should look like this:
File: somevirusfile.exe
Status:
OK
Packers detected:
None
AntiVir
No viruses found (0.51 seconds taken)
Avast
No viruses found (3.01 seconds taken)
BitDefender
No viruses found (0.34 seconds taken)
ClamAV
No viruses found (0.33 seconds taken)
Dr.Web
No viruses found (0.50 seconds taken)
F-Prot Antivirus
No viruses found (0.06 seconds taken)
Kaspersky Anti-Virus
No viruses found (0.64 seconds taken)
mks_vir
No viruses found (0.23 seconds taken)

Do this for both files.

Thanks for replying, Owen. The two files in question (10DRwin.exe and 11DRwin.exe) have been quarantined by Norton and therefore are not present in the Application which opens (My Briefcase, in my case) when I click on Browse. So there was no way for me to perform the test.
Any Plan B, or should I leave good alone?
-
I'd leave it alone then, they probably are a type of virus. The names are quite random and they are not legitimate windows files.
-
Thanks, owen. Much appreciated.

Your welcome, have a Merry Christmas
