If Sygate is slowing you down (it does in some cases, but the majority of times it runs fine), you may wish to try an Alternative such as Kerio, available free from here. It is more advanced, but once its setup it should be fine. I'll help you set it up. Download Kerio, disconnect from the Internet, uninstall Sygate, reboot and then install Kerio.
