Unhappy Aargh. Help with HijackThis log?

I've run Spybot S&D, which didn't find or fix the following:

In my Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs are these unknown installed programs:
    Context Display
    LookSmart Search
    Lycos Search
    RON Display
    TSA
    TV Media

    In Task Manager are:
    ts.exe
    tsl.exe
    tsm.exe

*These three apparently come from a directory in C:\Program Files\Common Files\tsa; the tsa dir also includes a subdir called "rainbow."

I downloaded and ran HijackThis; log follows (have no idea how to interpret it). I'm also getting popups that aren't blocked by Google (all of a sudden - until yesterday it blocked everything fine) and my husband's account on WinXP is hanging on shutdown, trying to close tsl.exe (which has to be closed by Task Manager or it won't stop).

    Hiya Psych,
Could you please download and run CWShredder which will get rid of the majority of CWS Browser Hijacker infections. Please ensure that you click Fix and click Ok to any prompts. Make sure you don't only scan.

Then post a new Hijack This log.

    Hiya,
As advised in the Hijack This Logs posts, don't run CWShredder before posting a Hijack This log. Sometimes it actually temporarily removes the hijacker so that we can't see it when you post the log, then it returns. Could you give us details about the hijack please (eg, the website). This will help, then I or someone else will take a look at the log.

Actually, you advised me to DL and run CWShredder, then post a new Hijack log:

    >>>>>Hiya Psych,
Could you please download and run CWShredder which will get rid of the majority of CWS Browser Hijacker infections. Please ensure that you click Fix and click Ok to any prompts. Make sure you don't only scan.

Then post a new Hijack This log.

Thats why posting multiple threads causes confusion . Next time please reply to this thread. If you can't find this thread, View your profile and click Find All Posts. You will then be able to find this thread again. I have merged the new posts with the old posts to keep everything together

Close all browser windows, restart Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries:

Then boot into Safe Mode and ensure that you are showing Hidden Files and Folders.

Go to the Control Panel and go to Add/Remove programs. Uninstall WildTangent (its spyware).

Then go to C:\Program Files and delete the following:
    TvMedia
    WildTangent

Reboot and post a fresh log

Hokay <sigh>. Did everything up to and including "Fix Checked." Hijack fixed it all, I booted to Safe Mode, ensured I was showing hidden, tried to uninstall WT...and it did nothing. What I got when I tried was a really fast dialog box that I couldn't read--this thing was there and gone in a flash--and the entry remained the same. Tried multiple times and got the same deal. I was able to uninstall TVmedia--it appears to be gone, but...

...when I tried to delete the \Program Files\TvMedia dir in Explorer, (still in Safe Mode at this point), it said that Tvm.exe was in use by another program and it couldn't delete it. I also didn't delete the \Program Files\WildTangent dir because I thought it might have uninstall info that Add/Remove Programs needs, altho I couldn't find an uninstall.exe anywhere there.

Ideas? Also, what about the other progs in Control Panel that appeared out of nowhere--Context Display, LookSmart Search, Lycos Search, RON Display, and TSA? Shoud I try to uninstall them? Or delete the directories?

    Thanks,
    Psych

Could you delete the WildTangent dir if it doesn't uninstall. That way we will be able to get rid of it.

Yes, was able to delete it. What about the other stuff? Also, after I had Hijack fix the stuff last time and uninstalled the TVmedia program, when I try to run any AOL games (under AOL's browser), I get a prompt that says "To display this page correctly, you need to download and install the following components: Java virtual machine." I'm assuming that either a) Hijack removed the component I need; b) AOL needs WildTangent, and I somehow did manage to uninstall it, although it's still there; or c) TVmedia has something to do with it. Should I DL and install the Java VM?

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
No, Java VM from Microsoft is not as secure as Java from Sun Microsystems. They actually own the Java Trademarks/Copyrights etc. Download Java from www.java.com.

    Then post a fresh log
