First, is this a dual core processor? Secondly, I just need this for like college don't need it for gaming with this price it should be a good deal right? What does reccertified mean? Thoughts?

That looks like a decent computer. Its most certainly not a gaming computer. Yes the Athlon X2 is a dual core processor. Re-certified should mean that it has been returned to the manufacturer for a warranty repair and has been certified for sale; there are some advantages and disadvantages to that. Since it is re-certified I would check with newegg to make sure that it comes with a manufacturer's warranty.
