    Re: A REALLY Random Question!

If you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.

That poem makes little sense to me. I have more of an interest for the more "mysterious" poems.
    Hitcher

    I'd been tired, under
the weather, but the ansaphone kept screaming.
One more sick-note. mister, and you're finished. Fired.
I thumbed a lift to where the car was parked.
A Vauxhall Astra. It was hired.

I picked him up in Leeds.
He was following the sun to west from east
with just a toothbrush and the good earth for a bed. The truth,
he said, was blowin' in the wind,
    or round the next bend.

    I let him have it
on the top road out of Harrogate -once
with the head, then six times with the krooklok
in the face -and didn't even swerve.

    I dropped it into third
    and leant across
to let him out, and saw him in the mirror
bouncing off the kerb, then disappearing down the verge.
We were the same age, give or take a week.
He'd said he liked the breeze

    to run its fingers
through his hair. It was twelve noon.
The outlook for the day was moderate to fair.
    Stitch that, I remember thinking,
    you can walk from there.

    Me up at does

    out of the floor
    quietly Stare

    a poisoned mouse

    still who alive

    is asking What
    have i done that

    You wouldn't have
e.e. cummings was interested in word play and sentence structure experiments.

I too found the above confusing but it is actually quite simple. Perhaps just a puzzle poem.

This is what I see now:

up at me out (off) of the floor quietly stares a poisoned mouse. who still alive is asking: "what have I done that you wouldn't have?"

<<<<<<in other words why kill me>>>>>>>>>we just all try to survive.
    ..................

As to your posted poem I don't know who is dead or who is walking.

when i was a kid i used to dream about world wide peace and even more i "somehow" believed that would happen .... but when i grew up a bit i kept dreaming that but reliazed that wont happen so i guess that will stay a dream...

but i do believe that every one in the world once had that dream even for at least a minute... i dont care who /when / where but every one must had a dream of that

    but it never happens

You can't say that! Have you never heard of the saying the the more you look on the negative side, the more likely something bad is gooing to happen. I believe it's true. If the world just worked together and didn't segragate different societies and cultures the we'd sure be getting somewhere in the near future...

Hahaha, okay I was just suggesting that if everyone felt that way then society would never move forwards. That's like saying that Black and White would never be friends, and that Martian Luther King died for nothing. Did this great man once suggest that something the people of the world never thought would happen... would actually happen without giving up?

yeah but its a very long way ... and i think like 0.000000000000001 % of the world population is ready for that so maybe after 1 million years it will happen... but actally there is a faster way lets kill 9.9999999999999 % of the world population and leave the others
    WHO'S WITH ME??

Sure, I'm in! Let me contemplate the likelihood of that actually happening when I go to bed. Oh wait, that'd be about now. Haha, some can dream for world domination too!
    Night everyone

when i was a child i wanted to be a hippopotamus, up until a couple of years ago (at the ago of 18) i discovered that this could not happen.
So now i endeavour to becoming a fully functional toaster, and i am well on my way (if i do say so myself).
