Just out of curiosity:
90% of 24" monitors listed at Newegg run between $300 < $500
Why is this one $2,000?

Did a little checking and it uses S-IPS technology. Some... high-tech and expensive LCD type of panel. Way more expensive than MVA (and the commonly found TN panels) and it's usually used only by photo/color critical people.

Hi kaistar...
I'm with DJNafey...In most cases, a 24" screen is hard to justify as you don't get that much extra benefit for the extra money (the equivalent of buying a second 17" or 19" monitor).
That's why I bought 2 - 22" LCD's. Running 2-22" LCD's is great...love all the deskspace. At work I run 2 - 19" LCD's. The boss would let me have larger...LOLOLOL. If you buy a 22" LCD then you can have dual LCD with the 22" plus your Laptop LCD.
My next monitor will be a 30" but not until at least next year. I'll buy it when I get a new PC or Laptop that way I can get a price break.

Question, why is that LG 20" so costly? Compared to other 20"
Following your previous post on my question I see the price is variable mostly on the Panel and or Display type.
Newegg lists 20" from $129 all the way up to $859

I've found a deal on Dell's site for a 22" monitor. Apparently they offer deals to my University (St Cloud State) and there's a coupon floating around online as well that I can use.
The Dell 2209wa monitor is the one I'm looking at. Best of all is that it's not a TN Panel monitor, it's an e-IPS. I'm just still not sure if I should get it...
And I found a page to do Panel comparison and monitor comparisons. Does a decent job I'd say.
