    Here is good.

Can you describe in a bit more detail?

    Resizing Windows?

I work at home on my computer, and have to run about 9 programs at once...I bought a 32" tv to use as a moniter because I thought that I could put most of my windows on the screen at the same time...getting a bigger moniter only resulted in bigger windows....I understand how to use the arrows to resize the windows, but then I have to slide the bar up and down all day on all the windows. Is there a setting that I can use to make the windows smaller?

    Just to verify/clarify:

You want the content within the window to change proportionately to the window itself?

Thus eliminating any scroll bars? Is this correct?

If possible you are talking about "Maintaining an Aspect Ratio".

I have not found such an option but will keep looking.

You basically want your minimized window to appear in full screen ratio.

Just as an aside you can always highlight each window and toggle F11 to switch between full and minimized view.

Hi jephree...I hope you don't mind the interruption but I believe ppiechnik is talking about screen resolution.

If, for example, they had a screen resolution of 800x600 then that 800x600 resolution also would have transferred over to the 32" LCD. If ppiechnik wants "smaller windows" (more visible screen space) then they will need to change their screen resolution to a size appropriate to a 32" LCD. The 24" Widescreen LCD's we have at work run at 1920x1200...they might want to try that size.

If I'm wrong in assuming this is ppiechnik's issue then I'm sorry to interrupt.

No problem dobhar. We are all here to help and different views are welcome and helpful.

    Thanks for the input.

The impression I was getting is that the desire was to have minimized screens maintain a full screen aspect hence eliminating scroll bars.

In other words the question would be:

Can I have multiple full screens displayed in minimized view.

I hope I am making sense.

It made me think of screen resolution as the "windows" would be larger as ppiechnik went to a larger screen. Windows don't get smaller if you increase the size of the Monitor, they actually get larger as they keep their size...you have to change the resolution accordingly. If they had a resolution of 800x600 on the old monitor, they would have 800x600 on the new 32" LCD which would be pretty big. If they changed the resolution to 1920x1200 then they could resize their windows and get rid of the scroll bars.

Anyways that what his post made me think of...

Yes I can see that too.

Hopefully ppiechnik will return and clarify us.

I have changed the screen size to 1320 x 768, which I think is the biggest I can....I am right clicking on the desktop, properties, settings, advanced and then Intel (R) Extreme Graphics. From there, I adjusted the screen area under graphics properties. Is this the right place to make the changes you are talking about? You are dealing with someone that really doesn't know much about computers, so you will need to put it all in "english"...lol
