I didn't know where to post this.

I'm not sure if i had missed something on the home page about re-setting things eg. arcade highscores (good idea every now and then) but i logged on and thought i was on the wrong site.

DAL is a GREAT site but can be confusing if it keeps changing- especially for the newer members, but that's just my opinion.

Personally, (admin) i liked the old logo and layout better. I just don't see the point in keep changing things when people get used to it...

But enough of me, i wanted to know what others thought so that's why i posted this. Otherwise, I LOVE This Site!

We did indeed reset the arcade scores as we had posted a while back that we would do this to keep things fresh. The old design was also getting tired and had been around a long time. I know things look a bit different but most options and functionality of this site remain the same. By making the place brighter and more pleasing on the eye we hope to encourage more people to stick around and help build this community. The basis of D-A-L is to offer free and high quality computer tips to the public, anything we can do to help improve that experience I feel is a positive step.

By the way, I also prefer the old logo. This one is temporary and I am working on new artwork for that Might be a while before its online though.

Thanks bootneck I've been using the arcade more than the forum lately so i haven't been around much

I do think that changing things every now and then is a good idea, so yes, it will encourage far more people to visit the site and become members! I'm quite amazed that i've been a member for nearly a year now and although i haven't posted much, i haven't looked back on becoming a member once. This site truly is amazing and the members and admin are SOOOO kind.

Good luck working on the logo, and i'm sure the design will come out perfect.

It's great to hear everyone's opinions. Design on the Web is impossible to get right for 100% of visitors. I was reading comments left on the BBC website today. They have just launched a new design and 50% seem to love it whilst 50% prefer the old basic look.

We are always open to your comments and appreciate them, sorry we cannot please everyone but we try and make the best decisions possible based on feedback we receive.

Poor old D-A-L you can't please all the people all the time just some of the people some of the time. I think as I have said before it is a great step forward for a great site. No doubt everyone will get used to it soon and wonder why they had trouble with it.

i saw the bbc page when it was beta. they had random 30mins here and there where they unpassworded and a friend told me when (how did he know :O) and i instantly fell in love with it in beta...
