Why are most of the threads closed (locked) so quickly ??

I belong to several other support forums & joined this one a few days ago. When viewing several request for help I was eager to post a response only to find the thread had been locked for no apparent reason. Existing responses did not really appear to satisfy the request & they were only a few days old.

Threads are automatically closed after 30 days if there has been no activity in the thread. Other reasons for closure are;
Problem resolved
Spam
Inappropriate content
