    Unhappy compaq x09 gaming computer

    on boot this message shows up. AMERICAN MEGATRENDS--CMOS Checksum Bad.next message, Overclocking failed! Please enter Setup to re-configure your system. next message,No Hard Disk Drive Detected! next message, Press F1 to run setup. next message,Press F2 to load default values and co ntinue. What to do. jerry ---Loaded defaults,new message, oraido stripe failed

    Load defaults.

    If you are not able to load defaults then manually clear your CMOS.

    0 RAID?

    Have you installed any hard drives or Operating Systems yet?

    You might want to reset the CMOS via the motherboard jumpers.

    Also more details. Did you just build this computer? Did it ever work?

    This is a compaq x-09 from the factory, about 1 year old. It has windows xp professional operating system. There is 3 raid volumes,the 1st one says failed. bootable no. jerry

    Did this happen today?

    Did you over clock it?

    When, if ever, did it work?

    A good history here might help us help.

    Have you tried resetting the CMOS jumpers?

    This happened last week. When I booted it up the message came up that 0 raido [stripe] failed, with the message Reboot and Select proper Boot device. jerry,thank you very much for this help.

    I would reset your CMOS on the motherboard.

    If the issue continues run the manufacturers diagnostic on the hard drive.

    If the computer as a whole is under warranty then follow that option.

    However any attempt at overclocking would void most any warranty.
