Hi all

Can anyone tell me how I can trace the address of the sender of an email that I have received? It was quite malicious and I've had no response from the email site provider.

You can at least try, how do you view your email? Hotmail, Outlook, Thunderbird etc? You need to view the emails headers where you will find some possibly helpful information.

Thanks for the reply, I am using outlook. I do not understand what "headers" are! The email has been forwarded to me by a Firm that I recently worked for. Proposing to instruct Solicitors to take action regarding the content that is very hurtful and professionally damaging. I note that there are various programmes that the can buy off the internet, not sure how reliable these are or whether they actually work!
