    PDF options.

I don't need to create a pdf very often, and I have Adobe on my machine, but I would like to hear from anyone who is using an alternative product, free or bought.
    Thanks.

    I've found a solution.
My problem with Adobe is that it sometimes changes the font. But PDF Creator solves that problem. I don't understand its method exactly but it produces an exact reproduction which is then transferred to Adobe without any difficulties.

And where did I discover this software? It was among the many programs on my Open Office disk. Oo is an excellent word processing suite by the way (shameless plug for a worthy product) and a disk for about AUS$20 will also provide you with free versions of an incredible range of programs. I feel just like Dr Suresh when he met the boy in the market - I too had my answer already.

There are quite a lot of freeware PDF creators out there now. I'm personally using PDF995, which I really like.

I use Foxit PDF reader, freeware, very small and lightning fast. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
