A+ Certification Test for Hardware/OS
Hello forum readers,
I am about to go and take my Hardware exam next week. I have been using 2
different CD for pre-testing for the A+ exams. I have been scoring about 83% on each CD. What I do first is, take a "study" test where it will show you the right answer if you incorrect. There is like, 750 different questions for the hardware part of the CD and I take around 150-250 questions then I go and take a "pre-exam" where it is timed and don't show what you missed until the end of the exam.
My question to anyone here that has taken the A+ exam on Hardware/OS are the questions pretty close to what you see on these CD's that you get when you go to college. Here is one book I have "A+ Certification Concepts & Practice by Charles J. Brooks the III" and "A+ Guide To Hardware by Thomson Course Technology"
I am so nervous because these exams are $158 a piece. If I don't pass come June 1st the exams are going change where you have to pass totally different test.
Anyone with some good advice?

Well, I took the first part of the A+ certification Hardware and after studing and taking college course I scored 578 and passed!
There was 100 and you had to score at least a 515 to pass. I don't know what percentage I passed at but, you had to have at least a 70% to pass. Does anyone here know what percentage I recieved?
Btw, the 2 cd's I have been studing were NOT even close to help me pass this exam. 90% of the ?'s were like if you were a tech and I just picked the one that I thought was most likey. 10% was ?'s I have seen on the practice exams.
Now, I need to somehow study for the OS part. Any thoughts?

I have some study guides I am currently using to study I haven't taken the A+ because I don't believe im ready for it. And the OS part here you can make 60% and pass. I can email or upload the study guides for you. I got them from people who passed the A+ and these were actually the type of information that was on the test.
On other note was the hardware part really hard? (How long did you study for hardware). Im very confident about the OS part because my instructor told me that it was alot easier than the hardware. Im only currently in a OS class and im about to take the OS part of the test in a month or 2.
I believe I was told the total score you can get is 600 so I believe you made 85% correct.

That would be great bro if you could email me the stuff. My email is...traceynorman775@msn.com.
Btw, the hardware isn't hard it 90% questions like this..."if you arrive a customer's house and the only person there is their 12 year old daughter what do you do?" A lot of questions on stuff like that common sense thing.
