Loading internet + email on new PC. HELP.
I hope I'm in the correct bit.
I am about to pick up my new PC. The first thing I want to do is get onto the Internet, then set up the E-mail.
INTERNET: I am currently on BT. Do I just put the BT disk into my new PC and follow instructions? If not, can someone please instruct me.
E-mail: I am currently using Outlook express, Freenet. Can someone instruct me on how to get this on my new PC please.
I will need as much info as pos before shutting this PC down.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
ATB Gary.

For internet, normally after the inital setup through a PC, the connection should staty on and it should not matter if you add new computer. However, if the connection goes down, you would need the program to get it going again. So, yes, I would install the CD on the new computer.
Your e-mails go through your ISP, and it looks like they require outlook. Just install outlook express on the new PC and then connect the same old way.
On nice thing about having an internet based e-mail such as yahoo is that you do not have to go through all of these stuff. Outlook is a lot more stronger and it can do a lot of things, for personel use, I decided a long time ago not to use my ISP provided e-mail and use yahoo instead. It has worked great for me so far, and I heard yahoo is in process of providing "unlimitedz' space for e-mail.
