    understanding bytes

    Can anyone help me to understand bytes?

    861 KB divided by 1586 = 0.543 is that 0.54 bytes or 543 bytes?

    i times 0.54 by a 1000 dont i... or officially 1024....

    1 MB is 1,048,576 bytes

    861 KB = 88,1644 bytes / 1586 = 555.90 bytes
