is there any adaptor that i can get to convert the laptop screen connector to a VGA plug to plug it into my desktop?

i have another modding idea something similar has been done before

nevermind, did further reading and found out it is really hard/impossible..... if anyone thinks otherwise, and has an idea how it can be done, please let me know
