    OK ... other programs have definitely altered that registry key but before we try to change that I would suggest trying a System Restore to a point/date before this problem started.

    start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    See if that will fix it.

    Have you installed any software/ programs that might coincide?

    I see WinRAR in that key and Encription menu?

    ...will be right back... ...go ahead and try a System Restore.

    hey i tried the system restore and evrything seemed fine i could right click on the desktop, but it wasent until i done windows update that it messed up again, and the same problem occured???? soo pissed off lol

    Can you identify the updates you took?

    Was this last Tuesday's release?

    Will look around for any other issues regarding those updates.

    I would Restore again and leave off the updates for now. Or try one at a time if you wish to pinpoint the problem.

    Hey i ve got the same problem while right clicking and i really dunno how to why it does it only on my desktop some 1 please solve this problem PLEASE!

    hello please help me!! my computer has been restarted, and manually switch off ova its normal amount...even if i minorly right cliick it still crashes...well it gets that timer showing but the timer never completes... please Help me!!!
