    Msn Messenger

    Whenever my msn messenger says i have new mail the little thing will pop upand you click it and it will take you to your inbox through internet explorer i was wondering if somebody could tell me how to change that to fire fox i already have fire fox

    I doubt that you can. MSN is most likely dedicated to IE. Many Microsoft applications are settup to use only IE.

    You cannot. At least in 2k or XP it is totally integrated into the operating system.

    You can turn it off via Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components

    Yet your MSN links as well as Windows Updates (just to name 2) will no longer work.

    There are third party programs that claim to remove iE but they will enevitably mess up your computer.

    There is really no advantage in removing or turning off IE. The links that require it will not work.

    ok thanks how do you set fire fox as your main browser for other things that are not automatically sent to ie

    Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults

    If you have XP SP2 this also appears directly on the Start Menu
