Just wondering how you get to know so much about what to remove and whats what. Right now when I read logs I pretty much google everything I dont know. But most of the time the problem is when safe programs have non legit sounding names and the randomly generated files keep coming back. Of course there are seperate applications to remove each of those instances that always come back, but how do you tell what to use?

I should have made a disclaimer as to the title of your thread as I have not learned so much yet

I am still in the basic levels there.
I have tried many learning sites & definitly think that this one is the best.
Good people; good library! Read!
& I like their teaching method.

My own learning curve got side tracked by learning to read Dump Logs

Like you, I google all the threats and programs in the HJTlogs. However, I also read Owen on this board. I have learned that reading before attacking the log usually results in quicker resolution.

Sometimes I encounter threats that no one has resolved...Love those! Jephree is right, though, reading about the threats is the only way to find them in the logs.
