    What mouse & keyboard?

I'm looking to buy a new mouse and keyboard as I have worn mine out quite badly. Anyway, I'm not sure what to get. So, I would like advise off you. It would need to be something suitable for gaming and I also want something that wont require me to change the batteries all the time.

    Any suggestions?

i use one of the micrososft optical wireless sets, and i find it quite good for gaming, ive had it for about 4 months and never had to change the batteries yet... its also got a 4 way scroll wheel which is quite handy.. its not the best on the market by far, but its still easily good enuff to play any of the games ive tried and at a good price too

( i know its not the uk one in the photo, but its just a goodled image to give an example)

oh yeah if your intending on using more than 1 set in the house, make sure there multi frequency, my dads isnt, and my old one wasent and used the same frequency so we kept up controlling eachothers cursers, despite being on seperate floors. dont have that probllem anymore tho.

Are Microsoft and Logitech wireless mice okay with gaming though? Some mice mess up when there is lots of quick movement.

well im a fan of games icludoing half life2 counterstrike ( an online terrorost v counter terrorist game) both of which need quite fast responce from the mouse, personally ive never had any problems with microsoft mice ( i actually steered away from other brands, because ive alsways liked microsoft) so weither my mouse is relativly decent, or im just very good ( ill go with the first)

I was going to say that too! The "Wireless Optical Desktop" keyboard and mouse are really good value for money and, although I haven't used them for gaming, I find it a great set to use for normal Windows use. They seem to take ages to get through the batteries too

whichever type you choose, corded or cordless, choose an optical mouse, I prefer cordless as I kept stretching my legs and pulling the keyboard off the desk. A set of batteries are lasting about 1000 hours (4 months).

i presumed he was gonna get optical as he said it was for gaming, they accumulate a fraction of the dust, are far more accurate and u can move them alot quicker.. also people cant steal ur mouse ball ( my dad used to find it highly funny to steal my mouse ball and watch me wonder breifly why the curser wasnt moving)

i never thought a tilt wheel would b important,b ut now i have it its quite nice... although it takes some getting used to if you use the wheel as a button in games, to reload etc, because sometimes if u click it, but sideways it dosent work.. its fine once u get the hang of it though

I've decided that I'm going to go with a microsoft wireless optical one, haven't decided on what one yet though.
