With the announcement that Consulars and Inquisitors have tank specs there is a lot of buzz on the Darth Hater Ventrilo channel that the Imperial Agent Sniper Advanced Class will be in high demand in raiding parties because of their pure DPS focus. As a hardcore casual player, a few percentage points one way or another will not affect what class I choose, but super hardcore raiders and PVPers don't share this perspective. They feel people will forsake other DPS builds in classes with multiple roles for a class that is only DPS.
As someone who loves playing low population classes because of their unique feeling and stand out appearence, this inspires me to ask Swtor4Credits.

I know my main is listed as BH/PT OT dps, but my alt is a sniper as of now. that being said since I haven't seen all the skills and talent that are available the trees yet. The main and alt could change by launch, because I'm very interested in the sniper. I have pondered that same question that you have. Our sniper dps better be a lot higher then lets say other hybrids, or I feel their right that we will get left out of raids. I have a feeling that Bioware knows this. Thus, will make sure our dps is worth it for raids to want us. I really can't imagine Bioware giving my BH/PT (OT dps build) wearing heavy armor and having as much dps as our snipers. With regards to the sniper, I would like us to be able to use the stealth belts for the pvp concerns I have. My thoughts on this is that its bad enough that I have to sit in cover to get my dps up, but getting to cover is where I feel it would benefit us the most. Or its going to be like "please don't attack me till i get to that box over there".
