I have a new windows xp toshiba p100 satellite series laptop and i installed oblivion onto it but when i click the icon the game doesnt start. I want to know how I can solve this.

Another thing is when I try to install the sims 2 nightlife expansion pack it gets to about 27% and then there is a file that it can't install, that might just be the cd, but I just want to know...

1) Oblivion is very picky about it's video cards. Check the developers site for compatibility with your video card.
2) You're right, it probably is the CD.
