I play games and it crashes
Yeah I play games and it crashes after 5 minutes of playing it. Like the screen turns all black and I have to restart my computer. I tried updating my game driver and it didn't help.
So if anyone knows the problem that would be nice.

What games? What computer? Did these games ever work on this computer?
What driver did you change?
-
Like Counter Strike Source, War Rock, WoW.
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Yes it did, like 2 weeks ago.
I updated my ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series, Graphic driver.

Did you uninstall old ATI drivers before installing new ones?
If not you always need to with graphics drivers.
Beyond that your symptoms are often heat related.
Have you ever cleaned the inside of your computer?
You could also see if there is anything in your Event Viewer:
Event Viewer
--------------------------------------------------
Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.
Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:
How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
Basic information on Event Viewer errors can be found here: EventID.Net
If you have a restore point you could also try that:
System Restore
--------------------------------------------------
You might try a System Restore to a point prior to your problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
-
im back ahah,
uhh how to do you uninstall my old graphics driver? xP
( ^ Noob at computers sorry )
EDIT: I also looked at my event viewer, and found lots of X's. That bad? lol

Go to start > control panel > add or remove programs > ATI > display driver > remove
Then install the latest version for your card.
The best way to use the Event Viewer is to note the time of a problem then go back to the Viewer and look for errors at that time.
If you right click an error line and choose Properties it will show the details.
If you then click the clipboard icon you can copy paste the info.

my computer went to a 800x600 and won't change, did that happen bc I removed my graphics driver?
-
yes. you need to install the new driver then change the resolution.

After I removed my old drivers, and installed my new ones. It still crashes
