according to the event manager, the latest error was around 2:40 pm, however, the first time i d/ced was around 5:06 pm. Under display adapters, it says "NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro (microsoft Corporation)" As far as outside problems go, I dont really have any. I dont have any other games downloaded to my computer, so i dont know if i can play any others. As for video, i can watch them but they take a long time to load.

I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling your NVIDIA drivers.

They are here:

WinXP/2k - (71.89)

First download the above and SAVE to your desktop.

Next go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Nvidia

If prompted choose Display Driver only > Remove


Note that this will set your screen resolution to a basic 600x800 and will look strange.


After the computer restarts load the drivers from your desktop download > Setup


After the computer restarts again reset your desired Screen Resolution by right clicking the Desktop then Properties > Settings

erm...okay i think i finished what u said.
i saved the downloader to the desktop, deleted the old one from add/remove programs, restarted, and downloaded it using the desktop downloader....correct?
oh and i had to do it like 4 times because i kept doing it wrong. every other time, my computer detected a new hardware, Video Controller (VGA Compatible), but this last time it didnt 0-0

Sounds right.

The computer will revert to VGA when you remove NVIDIA.

Anyway if NVIDIA was reinstalled try playing MS.
