Wasn't a 100% sure where to post this so feel free to move and/or delete.
As you can see by my set-up summary in my signature. My Graphics card is To Be Announced.
I'm looking into getting a 9800 GX2 maybe 2 of them if i don't let the girlfriend go shopping this month. Or is it going to be better to get seperate 9800 GT's?
Thanks Richard
What is your budget?
GTX 280 with 1GB memory are the state of the art today. @$649 US.
There is a GTX 260 896MB model for @$399 US.
A 750 Watt PSU would be a minimum here. If you were to go to two SLi you'd want at least an 1000 Watt PSU.The cards will sell in two flavors. The first, a high-end GeForce GTX 280 with 240 processors and 1GB of frame buffer memory, sells at a spit-take-worthy price of $649 starting June 17. (As expensive as that may sound -- and it is -- this is the consistent ceiling price for high-end consumer cards these days). The more "mainstream" model, the $399 GeForce GTX 260, ships June 25with 192 processors and a 896MB frame buffer.
The GTX 200 series require both a 6 pin and 8 pin PCI_E lead per card.
Below that the 9800 GTX is the best and runs about $350 US for the 1GB models. 512MB models can be had for @$200 US.
Here is a review of these:

Hi
I did look at the 200 series but they seem a bit pricey.
Was more interested in the 9800 GX2's vs 9800 GTX's
My PSU is 750W which means really only one card....which was pointing me more towards the GX2's as they are supposedly 2 cards in one.....
GX2 is nice. Two GPUs per card.
You are still talking $500 per card at this point.
9800 GX2 - Google Search
Again there maybe less expensive models with less memory.
Most cards will be cut in half price after a year.
Thanks for the help
No problem. I like to keep up on the new hardware.
My gaming computer is similar to yours but was built a year and a half ago.
My board is the 680i which was the best at the time.
I put in two 8800 GTX 768MB SLi which were the best at the time.
At that time those cards were over $600 a piece.
You can get them today for $300 or less.
well i know with the 9800's you don't really get the full experience on anything below a 780i motherboards.........or so i'm told.
