Smile My sims 2 keeps freezing!!!!

I just uninstalled all of my games and re installed them
i have- the sims 2, sims 2 pets, and sims 2 nightlife

even after re installing them, once i load it and click on the town, it loads the town then freezes before opening the town.

i've asked questions on yahoo answers, but when i ask that, ppl just tell me to get a bigger memory, but i think that i have enough memory to hold it

Have the games worked fine previously? Do you have the latests updates (go here and search for the patches for your products)?

Could you tell me a bit more about the hardware of your computer? The best way to do this would be to run the D-A-L Hardware Scan and post your results here.

You didn't answer my question, have the games worked fine previously?

What do you mean by the scan didn't work, did it not return results or was an error message displayed, etc?

In that case we'll have to use a different program to get your PC specs. Download and install Everest.

When installed run the program and at the top click Report, click Next and then click Hardware Related Pages. Then click Next. Choose Plain Text as the desired report format. Then click Finish.

Everest will generate the report, wait for it to do this and then at the top click Save to File. Save it in a convenient location and then come back here and attach it to this thread.

To do this, click Post Reply, scroll down to Additional Options and click Manage Attachments. Here you can upload the File for me to take a look at. Before uploading, check the file for any personal information you may not wish to be displayed such as your computer username which may well be your full name. Simply replace it with stars (**)

i think there is something seriously wrong with my computer, because after i installed it and everything, then i tried to oopen it up and it said: unable to open file, or something like that and there was a big red x in the link like there was something wrong with the download.

thanks for trying to help =]
