    AGP Texture Acceleration Not Available

I upgraded my system a week ago. Here are the specs:

    Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz
Chip Type : Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
    Mercury PI945GCM motherboard
    1 GB Ram

When i ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, this is what i got under the 'Device Tab':

Card name: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
    Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
    DAC type: Internal
    Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2772&SUBSYS_26331019&REV_02
    Display Memory: 64.0 MB
    Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (16 bit) (60Hz)
    Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor
    Monitor Max Res: 1600,1200
    Driver Name: igxprd32.dll
    Driver Version: 6.14.0010.4785 (English)
    DDI Version: 9 (or higher)

    Mini VDD Date: 2/26/2007 09:29:10, 5700096 bytes

    Revision ID: 0x0002
    Video Accel:
    Deinterlace Caps: n/a
    Registry: OK
    DDraw Status: Enabled
    D3D Status: Enabled
    AGP Status: Not Available

My older system's chip type was lntel (R) 82810 Express Chipset Family. But it had the AGP texture acceleration as enabled.

I read in other forums that 82945G doesnt support AGP texture. But my older system did and i think this one should too. I installed all the necessary drivers. I need that AGP Texture Acceleration to play San Andreas. Please help me out.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Nisar.

I'm pretty sure it's the right one. Mercury says you have an Intel 945GC/ICH7 Chipset (click specifications).

If you click the download link on this PAGE for Intel 945GC it takes you to the same page I linked to earlier.

No luck. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers. Still the AGP Texture Acceleration is being reported as 'Not Available'. Any more options?

I've just remembered that if the AGP Aperture size is set below 32mb then texture acceleration is disabled. Check the BIOS to see what it's set at.

Thanks jephree. One solution given in the thread is to install the drivers in an order. I will try that out too. So, first goes chipset driver and then graphics driver right?
