I hope anyone can spend 5 minutes helping me out...

It's about Rome Total War patching...

I'm about to install and play the 'Rome Medieval' mod (which requires patch 1.5), but I have only RTW 1.0, which is copied from an earlier RTW, which I later patched to 1.5, in order to play RTR. ('Rome Total Realism' mod)

I explain:
First I had RTW 1.0
I copied it completely.
Then patched one of them to 1.3, and 1.5 (1.3 is required for 1.5) in order to install RTR (Rome Total Realism).

But the copy (which I'm gonna use for Rome Medieval) is still 1.0, but I can't patch it to 1.3 (so also not to 1.5). When I run Installshieldwizard I can select 'modify' 'remove' and 'repair'.
I suppose it should just patch, not show those options... ('modify' does nothing by the way)

I think it has something to do with the registry, but I can't figure it out.

Please can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it

I think it's because both of them share the same registry key even though you have two separate folders. I would not play with registry keys though unless you have found some really good guides.

Never mind I already fixed it

I uninstalled all Rome Total Wars (and their mods) completely, and the reinstalled it.
Then I patched to 1.3 and 1.5, and then copied it.
Then I installed the mod I wanted on the copy and it's working fine, and the original RTW also works fine.

Anyway, D-A-L = still my place for problems with my pc
