Your graphics card is a lot more advanced than your motherboard.

The mobo is running AGP 4X whereas the card is 8X/4X.

If the latest ATI drivers do not work for MS the only thing I can add is try the latest BIOS and VIA chipset drivers.

They can be found here: http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us

    Just choose: Motherboard > Socket A > A7V266-E

Okay, I need help determining which BIOS i should download and update with. it gives me a few options which are:

    OS All OS
    Description A7V266-E Beta BIOS 1015.002
    The latest Beta BIOS.
    --------------------------
    Version 2.21 2002/12/23 update
    OS DOS / All OS
Description Aflash V2.21 Utility to update the motherboard flash BIOS - (DOS)
    -----------------------------------------------

    Version 1011 2002/08/26 update
    OS All OS
    Description A7V266-E BIOS 1011
    Support AMD AthlonXP 2600+
    ---------------------------------
    Version 1010 2002/07/05 update
    OS All OS
    Description A7V266-E BIOS 1010
    Support AMD Athlon XP 2200+
    --------------------------------

That was in the BIOS section, which I hope you meant.
If that's where I'm supposed to be, which one should I download and use?

If it's not, which section should i go into? and what should I download?

    The sections are:
MAP, Latest, All, BIOS, Drivers, Utilities and Manual.

Thanks a lot for the help.

You have 1011 so 1015 looks like the final upgrade. It is a Beta BIOS.

You will also need the Flash Utility.

Read all the instructions (Read Me) files and know what you are doing prior to doing it.

BIOS flashes are easy as long as you know what you are doing.

They are potentially destructive if you do not.

The other possibility is to upgrade the VIA 4 in 1 chipset drivers but ASUS does not list any for XP. You could try these:

    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx...D=1&CatID=1070

    Choose the second option:

    Retro chipset VIA 4in1 drivers

Probably easiest to try this first.
