Computer Crashes - MapleStory

Re: Computer Crashes - MapleStory
Ok, thanks ..
The only problem with that is that the battery only lasts for about 15 minutes, and then I have to charge it up again - and that's why I usually play with the charger in.

It might be time for a new battery.
I haven't looked at the links for that laptop but if the AC adapter overrides the battery (or charges while running) there must be some issue with the battery. IMHO.
When I get more time I'll try to look at that laptop in more detail and see if there are precedent issues.
In general laptops were never meant for gaming and the stress on the GPU just might be too much.
Anyway we can look for more possibilities.
One test always could be remove the battery and just run off the AC.

Alright, so your saying I should try and remove the battery from the laptop, and then try playing?
-
Yes. That was my idea just to see if there was a difference.

I've had the same thing happen to me. However, not only did the computer crash, my hard drive started making a horrible clicking noise and it had to be replaced. I'm not sure if the hard drive failure was directly related to maplestory or not; now I'm really hesitant to try and play the game again.

I really doubt that any software would cause a hardware issue with a hard drive.
I would guess it was a coincidence with a failing hard drive.
