I have had this game on my PC for almost a year now, and just last week I upgraded my RAM.

Ever since then the game has become incredibly stuttery, dips in sound, delayed sound, occasional freezing for a few seconds etc

sometimes during match play when it needs to go the the menu screen at half time the screen will go black and nothing will happen so I end up closing the game.

it isn't a problem with the RAM either, more demanding games like Half Life 2: episode one run perfectly since the upgrade.

On another form there are people who have had similar problems which occur with the game after a hardware upgrade, and some people claim that the problem was fixed after fixing things with a HiJackThis log, which I have done now, but it doesn't seem to have done the trick...

help would be appreciated thanks...

What is the source of the game? A CD? Download?

Is it possible to uninstall/reinstall?

It is a DVD game but at the moment I'm using a no-cd patch but it had this problem before i started using the patch.

I've already re-installed it, no luck.

This might be tedious but if you go back to your old RAM is the problem resolved?

If so what is the difference between your old and new RAM?

And just to verify: this is the only problem you are having? This one game?

I've tried different memory combinations...

I had 1 gig ram before (2x 512) but i took one module out so now i have 1.5gig and soon ill have upgraded to 2 gig dual channel pc3200 DDR ram.

it is only with this game the problem is happening, ever since i first upgraded.

If I run across any new info will let you know.

I see similar issues upgrading graphics cards on this game but no solution yet.
