Just spent hours trying to install Sims 2 deluxe on my pc.
specs: 1gb ram, 160 gb hardrive, 128 mb graphic card, intel dual core processor.
The computer does not "see" the cd in the cd drive.
It sees other cd's so I know the drive works. I tried installing it on my father's laptop with much lower specs and it worked. However, my father does not want me using his computer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever I see a Sims install issue it is generally advised to copy the CD to the hard drive and then install.

However if the CD is not detected then this is not possible.

Are you saying there is no indication at all when you insert this CD?

But you have no problems with any other CD?
