ati2dvag.dll error
Hi there!
Can say that I play quite a variety of PC games.
One of the more recent games I've played is Battlefield2142
, I'ts an online game.
To my disappointment, the gameplay for me has been quite poor.
After a fresh installation of windows XP professional, Service pack 2, .net framework 2, latest drivers and applications... the game works.
After a few hours of play, my system becomes unstable and crashes.
I normally get a blue system screen which reports a infinite loop error and that there are problems with something called ati2dvag.dll (ATI drivers)
From there onwards, every game I play lasts no longer than 5 minutes, with either the game crashing or the entire PC restarting (sometines get the bluescreen)
I've been all over the web, tried dozens of fix-its and still can't get the problem to go away!!
I'd really appreciate some
, i've just about given up all hope

The verdict...
The game still does not perform.
I can play for longer than before, but I still get some of the same old problems.
After about 30 minutes of gameplay the game developes visible glitches, menues dissappear, the game exits and returns to my desktop.
The advice given here: 'http://www.sightsea.com/pghpchd/page...nite_loop.html'
was to configure my setting under device manager/system devices to create a PCI bridge for AGP.
At some point I thought my internet connection was at fault, that I was loosing packet data during online games.
I can't believe this is so because when I play the game off-line, I still get the same problems but only like 1% of the time. As if an online game aggrivates the situation.
I'm getting the feeling that something on my PC is not set up correctly for me to keep getting these problems because I have all the correct/latest drivers. Is there anywhere I can go to find setup procedures for my entire sustem? e.g BIOS config, AGP config, ATI config, etc. do SYSTEM REG cleaners help?
