Believe it or not I've never played a video game of any kind save online flash stuff.

Now I have a gaming system and no games. I've run 3DMark06 and love the graphical demos there.

Can anyone suggest a game similar in graphical quality to those?

um, battlefield 2 modern combat is one amazing online game. Oblivion, there is also Comand and Conquer 3 coming out that looks amazing to a RTS game. It depends on what your into. I personally like FPS' but thats just me.

I forgot, Starcraft is also a very good RTS game

Dawn of War, a very good RTS as well

SPlinter Cell Chaos Theory, a very good stealth game, better than the latest one.

Anno 1701, a very good civilization-style game. extremely similar to Sid Meier's Colonization, a really old game.

The demo of Anno 1701 ran for a good two hours and was fun.

However after purchasing this package with Half Life 2:

I think I have all that I can handle for a while. Half Life 2 is amazing in its reality. Scary even!

These will probably last me the rest of my life as I can just barely figure out what to do!
