HELP!!! Sims 2 Missing Stuff Problem
Okay,
A night ago I was playing the Sims 2 and decided to build a community lot. I got into Pleasantview, picked a lot and finally got to building it. I made a little boutique with some CEP Maxis stuff, and when I was done I saved. I left the lot, and returned to the neighborhood to find the lot was gone. Like I had never even built it at all. I went back into it, figuring maybe it wasn't loading and found the lot to actually be empty. With frustration I just turned off the game to figure it out the next morning.
Now I loaded the game the next day, enabled my custom content and to my demise found that for some reason, my neighborhood was gone! Pleasantview was NOWHERE to be found! It's like someone deleted it! Or is it MISSING!? HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Kat

First, do u use the normal Sims2, or do u have additional expansions? May not be of any relevance thought.
Next thing, the Sims2 game has its save NOT like most games in the Game directory(the folder where u installed the game), Sims2 save files are in your "My Documents". Search also in "My Documents" for a folder called "EA Games" and there should be a subfolder called "The Sims 2".
Make sure u find the folder there, with the save inside it(The Pleasantview Neighborhood is in the subfolder "Neighborhoods", and in there u find a folder called "N001" which is Pleasantview).
In my case, i not have "My Documents" on C:\ where windows usually is. I have My Documents on another Hard Drive, and its even a physical other HD as i have 2 HDs build in.
If i now turn off my second HD, then the My Documents would be gone(not erased, but unaccessible for windows), and if i then would start the game, it would not find my save. Thus the whole Pleasantview(as all other Neighborhoods)would be gone.
Or is for u only Pleasenview gone? So u still have the other Neighborhoods?
Sincerely
