hello?
OK. Unfortunately we are back at square one. Your computer is not detecting any graphics device. It is running off a basic VGA mode.
We still need to ID the graphics device that you were using before.
Do you have a digital camera that you could take pics with and post?
If not I will try to walk you through what we tried last night. This is going to take some time and patience but I know of no other way. We really need to see what your monitor is plugged into. And we are assuming that you have not changed anything from when you could play MS.
I am also working on other people's posts so I will respond as best I can but again this process may take some time.
The first thing I would like to see is the back of the computer.
For example: can you say if your monitor is plugged into the upper arrow in this pic or the lower:
![]()
That means you are plugged into the motherboard.
That was what the SiS driver should have worked on.
Was the monitor always plugged in here?
Is there a monitor port in the vicinity of that lower arrow?
Also just to verify: you used to be able to play MS on this computer?
I still find it very surprising that MS will play off a motherboard chip but then again yours is still not even detected by XP.
