Maple Story Error.
Hello, I understand that this error has come up many times and I have viewed other threads and tried a few things out. First of all, I have Service Pack 2 for Windows XP and I found this : Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4-M CPU 1.80GHz in my visuals information. The error is 'Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2d. All help is welcome and appreciated. Thank you very much.
Edit: I have the latest version of DirectX and I have been able to play the game smoothly until around December 20th.
ALSO!- I found this:
The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.
Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.
I have absolutely no clue where to find a driver, please help!

That driver is what you need.
What is the make and model of the graphics card is the question. The manufacturer's web site will have the driver.
What is listed in the Device Manager under + Display adapters?
Device Manager = right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager then click the + next to Display adapters.

Any thing listed in yellow as Other Devices?
This indicates that the system is not detecting any graphics device.
Do you know if you have a graphics card?
Is your monitor plugged in vertical near the upper edge of your computer case or horizontal and towards the lower middle portion?

There is Video Controller listed under Other Devices but that is it. I have no clue but there should a graphics card. I honestly have no clue, I've been able to play maple story for a while. Oh and I am using a Laptop not a Deskop, sorry I didn't mention that earlier. (WinBook)

What is the exact make and model of the laptop?
