Hi. I didn't want to start a new topic because it might spam the thread and this topic was related to my problem too. I use to be able to play Ms but after getting the old computer rebooted I havn't tried since I got a new computer. My little brother and I have been using the new computer and no one is using the windows 98 so I thought I could try gettin Maplestory to work but not much luck so far. I've searched this forum and have gone over a couple of topics and I was just wondering if a Windows 98 can still support Maple or no?

There is no problem with Windows '98 per se. The requirements are on the hardware; not the software.

You need a 3D capable graphics card with the latest drivers as well as DirectX 9.0c.

Oh hm. I believe I did install DirectX 9.0. Much to my lackness on knowledge in comuter's I was wondering if a 3D capable graphics card is manually installed like a ram card or what? o_o

It is similar. Most likely it is an AGP card which just slips into the slot.

To find the exact make and model you need you will have to ID your motherboard.

Belarc http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html will show you under Main Circuit Board

Also look under Display to ID your current graphics device.

umm im having the same problem too... i have my own thread with all my computer information if you want to check it out and try to help me... it doesnt really matter tho cuz it works on my computer i was just trying to set it up at my aunts so my cousins could play...
