Hi! I read a similar problem in here so I thought someone could help me too. I have installed the sims 2 and all the expansion packs installed. My video card is ATI Radeon 9250 and I have a fairly good processor and other stuffs. What happens is that after a few minutes of gameplay my monitor shuts down as in it goes black and it won't go on anymore. I hope somebody can help me too...Thanks!

This is because of your video card. Try updating it to the newest drivers. Or simply get a new one. Although that video card should be good enough to handle the sims 2..... i had the same problem with my geforce fx 5200 when i played games. Also check to see if there are any problems with it on your device manager.
