I had a computer virus a couple of months ago, and I had to reinstall windows. I've tried to install MapleStory (www.maplesea.com) again now too, and the game won't work.
Though it's run perfectly on my comp just two months ago, now I get a blank, black screen after gameguard has run. After about 10min, the screen crashes to the desctop, and I get a notice that the 'connection to the server has ended'.

I have a Nvidia G Force 6600 GT graphic card, and I've tried to reinstall the drivers, DivX, as well as an updated driver from the official website, but there's no change.
I've tried out different screen refresh rates (60, 70, 72, 75), but I normally keep it at 70
I've run the 'setup' Maple Story has, which I was told would fix it. it's a 'spot the picture and select'- thing, but the problems is I can see all the options and none of them make any difference when I try to run the game.

Also, I'm aware that I'm using the Singapore MS, but I've dowloaded MapleGlobal too, and it has the same problem. When I tried to download the .exe file, Internet explorer couldn't find it and I had to use firefox. I don't know if that's of any signifigance

Ah, I realized this is all because of F-secure ^^;
I tried allowing all traffic just to test, and the game started up properly. Then I tried allowing MapleStory and gameguard launching and manipulating and turning F-secure back on, but again it doesn't work.

Can someone with more experience with F-secure tell me what to do?

GameGuard is the problem. Many other users have removed it from their computers and have had no problems.

Others were hoping that MapleStorey would address the issue with a patch.

But how can I get rid of it?
I tried to delete the folder from the computer, but maple just creates another one when it runs

I am not familiar with the game but can you delete the GameGuard folder while MapleStory is running?

um yeah, it just re-downloads itself, there's no way to kill it!

try going into your maple story folder and double click on setup
a pop up will come up and you need to press NO
it will say we will now test the frequency or something like that and the screen will go black for a sec
if your computer can run the program
a thing will pop up while the screen is black
the screen will turn white then a gm should pop up and say
if u can c the screen press alt h
press that then retry maple

Hi i got a maple story problem and i don't know what to do

Is like this when i pass through or walk near to the maple TV my whole game will freeze and close my maple story game.Sometimes when i walk to next portal its blackout and close my game.

So please can you guys help me ?
