I got a laptop and it played every game perfectly for ages, but up until a while ago every game i play now starts off running smoothly then gradually slows down until it becomes framy and in slow motion. It will then jump back to running smooth and fast then again gradually within a few minutes begin to slow down again. This is happening with old and new games which used to run perfectly. I recently wiped and restored my comp to see if that would resolve the issue but it hasnt and I have no idea what the problem could be. I havent tried altering any display settings incase i make it worse however I have done within the games, but it doesnt seem to make a difference as to what resolution or detail settings i have. I have also tried turning off firewalls and doing disk defragmenting but no joy. Please help !

Could be a heat problem.

Have you cleaned the computer? Checked the fans? Perhaps run in a very cool environment.
