Re: MapleStory - "failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D"
Intel makes the chips but not the computer.
Yours appears to have been custom made.
I can walk you through some steps but they are not without risk. If playing MapleStory is your only problem you might want to just forget about it on this computer.
Otherwise I can suggest things you can try to troubleshoot.
You might want to clear any further steps with your family or whatever. Just saying.
OK I found your motherboard:
ASRock Motherboard - Product - P4VM800 - Overview
Try this:
Turn off the computer and move the monitor plug on the rear.
It will be horizontal near the middle lower section.
Move it to the similar port (blue) which will be found vertical on the upper edge of the case.
See if this changes anything.
If it causes any problem in starting then just move it back.
Your computer has both an AGP ATI card as well as onboard VGA which is 3D.
We are trying to determine if your AGP ATI card is the problem by using the other port instead.
Also on reviewing your initial scan you only have 512MB RAM which is really low but that is another issue.
-
um...i tried moving it to the other thing...but then the moniter doesnt work at all -__-
-
Just to verify: in this picture you moved it from the lower area into the upper?

And the monitor showed nothing?
Did it power on?
I assume you did this with the power off.
-
yea. i turned of my comp, then i switched it, then i turned it back on and it just went all black. nothing shows up. so i switch it back

You can try this:
Go into the BIOS setup when the computer starts. Usually it says Press Delete to enter Setup or sometimes they use F2.
Anyway in the BIOS Setup look for Display options.
Choose VGA over AGP and then Save and restart.
This will switch those ports but usually this is done automatically.
Anyway you will need to power off again and then move the monitor plug.
See if that works.
Again if not remember where everything was before so you can reset it.
-
um..i cant find any display options on the BIOS setup. i looked at every option but i cant find any display, VGA, or AGI
-
If you want to pursue this line of thought (testing) then physically remove the AGP card.
This should automatically set the BIOS to the VGA port.
-
um..i dont want to do that....is there anything else i can do?
-
Open the computer and clean it out.
If that doesn't help remove the Graphics Card and test the onboard VGA or try another Graphics Card.
If you do not want to do the above yourself take it to a repair shop and tell them all about it.
Tell them you suspect your Graphics Card is either overheating or dysfunctional.
