Every time you change drivers your resolution will reset to the lowest.

If you mean the restart is altering the resolution then this is something else.

Apparently no easy solution here but go back to Add or Remove Programs.

There should be an ATI listed. If so remove it and go back to the driver site.

Make sure you choose the latest driver for XP.

You might also want to go to Windows Update and get SP3.


Do you have any other problems? Can you play other games?

At some point your graphics card would become suspect.

Yes. Then reboot. Then try to reinstall the latest driver.

Again you will have to adjust your screen resolution.

If the problem continues in the same way (after 15 minutes) I'd suspect a heat issue and would advise cleaning the inside of the computer.

ok, i uninstalled both things....but now i cant redownload the ati thing!!! and it tells me to install some hardware? O_____O sighs.....im going to try this tommorw....going to bed now..-___-
