I recently downloaded and installed Half-Life - Lost Coast on my pc.
However, when i ran it, there was an excessive amount of lag. It is only just playable. I have tried setting ALL the graphics settings to the lowest, and turned off HDR. I even lowered the resolution to 640*480. Still, the lag persisted.
I have a friend who has almost exactly the same pc, i.e same processor, mobo, graphics, etc. It worked fine first time for him, without tweaking.
Anyone any ideas?

Incidentally, the launch window points out my graphics card (geforce 6200 256mb) in red lettering, and tries to imply that it isn't DX9 compatible. I have the latest nvidia drivers (not betas), and don't understand this at all.
