    Battlefield 2 - Nvidia 6600 ok?

    Hi,

I'm sure this sort of question has been asked sooo many times, but please bear me out:

    I have a P4 3ghz with 1gb Ram
I am about to get a new graphics card as currently using integrated graphics. I have been looking at Nvidia 6600 (256mb), 6600GT (128mb) and at a push 6800 - I don't have a great deal to spend.

Would all of these cards run games like Battlefield 2, Half Life 2, Doom 3 etc at reasonable resolutions/detail levels?

Any other recommendations around the same price range?

    Thanks,

    Pete

The BF2 Manual says you can set all settings on hugh with a 6800 or better, so a 6600 could run it. I used to run it on a 5500 :0 but then i got an RadeonX1300 and its like a whole new game. But yea, itll work just fine. I think.

If you're buying a 6600, get the 6600GT instead, provided you have a powerful PSU with excellent wattage. Minuscule price difference, major performance difference.

Wouldn't suggest it, it's an extremely weak 64MB card :/
