i keep getting an error when installing my 3rd disk for sims 2 saying .. A problem occured when trying to transfer the file "TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins\globalcatbin.bundle.packa ge" from media. What does this mean and how can this be fixed??

Ok, i did a google search and didn't find anything about it. This thread just popped up. So right now im at a loss as to whether or not this is the correct error, try reinstalling it and write it down, then re-post.. If it's right, just do it again just to double check it.

Thanks jephree... I have now successfully installed Sims 2 but now everytime i try to start it up i get a box with a red circle and an x in the middle... and it has no writting in it... that box below is what it looks like... don't mind the blue black and silver colours that is just a theme.

Did you install by copying the CD's to your drive?

My first suggestion would be to try the install again.

I can find nothing at the EA site for such a thing.

What happens when you click OK?

Nothing happens when i click ok, and i did instal by copying cd's to my drive.

At this point I can only think to uninstall and try to reinstall.

I will keep searching EA and the web in general but that's all I can think of at the moment

do you have any cd emulation software on your pc? coz ts2 is set up to prevent you opening the game if you do

Nevermind everyone... I solved the problem.. i reinstalled sims 2 from my drive and made sure to delete every file in the EA Games folder before i did so, then i used a Sims 2 no cd key crack and everything has been working fine ever since last night.. Thanks everyone.
