What is your exact Dell model?
You currently have an Intel graphics chip on-board. It may not be adequate for this game.
I cannot seem to find the minimum requirements. Is this the game:
http://www.activision.com/en_US/game...6da8b4f9a.html
Or can you find it here:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&n...evenge&spell=1
I found the minimum requirements at the bottom of the box:Originally Posted by jephree

1.5 GB of uncompressed hard disk space for game files; plus an additional 200 MB for Windows swap file
100% Windows 98/ME/2000/XP-compatible computer system (including compatible 32-bit drivers for CD-ROM drive, video card, sound card and input devicces)
DirectX 9.0 (included)
100% DirectX 9.0-compatible 32 MB video card, sound card and drivers
100% Windows 98/ME/2000/XP-compatible gamepad (optional). (Game controller with 10 or more buttons and dual analog thumb sticks recommended.)

A 100% DirectX compliant 3-D video card is required X2 Wolverines Revenge uses DirectX 9.0 to support 3-D hardware acceleration. X2 Wolverines Revenge has been tested on many, but not all, of the major video cards incorporating the chipsets listed below.
Supported Chipsets For Hardware Acceleration
ATI Radeon 7200 and later
NVidia GeForce 256 and later
SIS Xabre 400
Matrox Parheli
Is this a Dimension 2400?
If so it looks like it should work. Although the Intel chipset is not listed above.
This game runs from the CD? Is that correct?
What exactly happens after you load the CD? What is the verbatim error message?
My first guess would be yes but we can try to troubleshoot this if you want. Your on-board chip is quite good actually: 64 MB VRAM. It appears to meet the minimum requirements of that game although the Intel chipset is not listed.Originally Posted by chudster
If you have a Dimension 2400 it only has PCI slots. You need to keep this in mind as you search for cards. AGP or PCI_E will not work on your board.
yes, this game does run on a CD.Originally Posted by jephree
Ok, so when I put in the CD and click "Play" the screen goes black, and an error window pops up titled: Wolverine's Revenge: No Hardware.
Below that it says: No 3D hardware was found on your system. This game requires a 3D graphics accelerator to run.
Below that is a button which says "OK"
That is the exact error message. thank you 4 all your help so far
In dxdiag did you try the 3D test?
