My current chip type according to dxdiag is Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset. When looking for games I have been told by shop owners (GAME) that my current graphics card would not be compatable with it (Star Wars: Battlefront 2). I already experience this with some games I already own, for example: Half Life 2 (Counter Strike: Source), Battlefield 2. What I am asking help with is what graphics card to buy, if needed in the first place. When asking my friend who has the same computer as me said that he plays Source with no inconvienience said it should work if I bought a RAM improvement. I am not very good with computers but I know the basics. Thank you for any suggestions![]()

You have plenty of RAM:
Also I think that is a very good on-board device:Total Memory Deteced in Hardware: ~1024 MB
If you do decide to upgrade you have a PCI_E slot.Adapter Compatibility Intel Corporation

I notice no report for DirectX. The latest is here if you do not have it:

What specific problems do you have with these games:
I already experience this with some games I already own, for example: Half Life 2 (Counter Strike: Source), Battlefield 2.
With CS:S the game runs very slowly and with Battlefield 2 I couldn't even start to run it because it said I didn't have a good enough video card. I believe, according to my friend who knows a fair bit about computers, that I don't have a video card since it is intergrated into the system. What specific problems do you have with these games
Your current gaphics are onboard yes: Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL
I see that mobo used in Dell Dimension 4700's. Is that what you have?
If so you have a PCI Express slot. There are many cards out there.

I'm afraid I do not know what a mobo is.I see that mobo used in Dell Dimension 4700's. Is that what you have?
Would there be any specific cards you could recommend either out of personal experience or after reading about it? I have looked at a site called Overclockers. Are there any you could recommend off of there?
I have been recommended by my friend to look into this graphics card:
XFX GeForce 6800 GS Extreme XXX Edition 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-056-XF)
I have looked at reviews of this card and they have all been quite good, with one scoring it 4.5/5
By mobo I meant motherboard. The above scan lists the motherboard but not the actual make & model of the computer. I was wondering if it was a Dell Dimension 4700 because that's where a search for the motherboard leads.
That looks like a fine card you should just verify that all components are compatible. That is why I was trying to ID your exact make & model of computer. It would be good to verify for example:Motherboard:

Yes, the make of my computer is a Dell Dimension 4700 and I am guessing that is the motherboard as well, since I have not changed it since the computer has been bought.
