I have the following system
ATI Radeon 9800 128Mb
AMD Amthlon 3200+
512Mb Ram

The problem I have is that I can use Microsoft applications such as the Office suite, but when I try to play new games such as Blitzkrieg 2 and TheMovies, the game crashes after loading the introduction screens and returns to the normal desktop

I have the latest drivers for the ATI Catalyst centre installed, and DirectX 9.0c

I can play Quake 4 for maybe 5 minutes, before the screen resets to the desktop

Any thoughts

Are you sure the latest Catalyst is installed properly:

Did you uninstall the old drivers before the new? Through both the Device Manager & Add/Remove Programs?

The Catalyst Uninstaller is an optional download. We recommend using this utility to uninstall any previously installed Catalyst drivers prior to installation.
